Zania Van Niekerk

Zania joins the Khanya Project as one of four project managers responsible for the Telkom Sub-project. In her capacity as Implementation Project Manager for this project, Zania will ensure the timeously installation of the infrastructure to receive the technology supplied by the project. She will co-ordinate the contractors for the infrastructure phase as well as those supplying the hard and software to ensure that they meet the high standards set by Khanya. Ultimately, she will ensure that the schools identified by Telkom and Khanya to receive this technology are satisfied.

Zania has a broad working experience ranging from the hotel industry to other sections of the service industry and also in the financial industry. Time management and the setting and meeting of deadlines are two of the skills that Zania acquired through her working experience that will stand her in good stead in her new position. Zania enjoys working with people, getting the best quality work out of them and motivating them to achieve their goals.

The Telkom Project is an exciting one that will afford Zania the opportunity to work within communities where she will help schools to make educated decisions when choosing the right technology to suit their particular needs. Her skills coupled with her enthusiasm for the task at hand will ensure that Zania helps to realise the aims of the Telkom 2010 Project.
