Brandenburg gets Connected

A highlight in the history of this young rural school, the launch of their MTN laboratory, took place on the 17 March 2005.  The occasion also marked the launch of the MTN Connectivity project in an additional nine schools.

At the start of 2005, Mr Cameron Dugmore, WCED Minister of Education, visited Brandenburg Primary to announce that the school would be receiving a computer laboratory.  MTN was to donate 10 computers to the school and would also provide the necessary infrastructure.

Khanya provided educational software and a facilitator to train the educators to use the technology to enhance curriculum deliver and enable the school to achieve  e-School status. The launch was hosted by MTN and was attended by Mr Dugmore.
