A Project of the Western Cape Education Department
GENERAL INFORMATION

Funding and Public-Private Partnerships

Khanya is funded by the Western Cape Education Department. The project welcomes, however, partnerships with the private sector and civil society. Many organizations want to make a contribution to further education and bridge the digital divide and Khanya acts as a co-ordinator to ensure that donated resources are applied purposefully. This important aspect of Khanya is managed by a team member dedicated to this task.

Partners of the Khanya project are assured that their donations are used for the intended purpose. No commissions are paid and no administration charges are levied. Partners will see tangible evidence that their corporate social investments are yielding results.

Some partners are outright donors, while others are providing products and services to Khanya at greatly discounted prices. All these partners are highly valued and the significant contribution that these organizations make are recognized.
