St. Andrew's Secondary

St Andrews Comprehensive High School is not taking any chances when it comes to the security of their Khanya computer laboratory.

Having established a computer centre with the help of a company in the Information Technology sector, they used it to teach Computer Literacy. Once the Khanya Project came to their assistance they were only too happy to earmark the centre for curriculum delivery in Mathematics using Information and Communications Technology. The resulting excitement that permeates the school has created a high demand for the use of the computer laboratory for curriculum delivery in the other Learning Areas.

The Mathematics department recognises the opportunity to improve the current average performance of learners to one of excellence. The less experienced educators are using the software to improve their own skills. The approach that the Khanya Project adopts for curriculum delivery using Information and Communications Technology is proving to be empowering for learners and educators.
