Sithembele Matiso Secondary
The school management team is very determined to make the Khanya Project in their school a success and considers it a prestige to own the Khanya technology. They see it as an opportunity to increase the capacity of both the educators and the learners.
Khanya, through its project manager, assisted the school with their proposal documents and in securing private funding, and the educators who accepted the challenge have gained valuable management and communication skills. These skills will be valuable as the school manages and maintains its computer laboratory. They are already looking forward to improving what they have as well as helping the surrounding community.
It is with some pride that the staff and broader school community can look back at its role in the realisation of the laboratory. The opportunity to increase the capacity of both the educators and the learners is becoming a reality. Mathematics educators and learners are excited to use the software the school has been provided with. Educators are also excited about their computer literacy training. The skills gained will be valuable as the school manages and maintains its computer laboratory. They are already looking forward to improving what they have as well as helping the surrounding community.
