Andile Primary
Now that all the infrastructure, computers and facilities have been thoroughly implemented, the laboratory at Andile Primary has ‘kicked-off’ in earnest!
A timetable for the laboratory has been agreed upon and the room is being used for learning on a daily basis. This big step forward is being supported by an Edunova facilitator who works with the school to ensure that the educators and learners continue progressing toward a point where they become self-sufficient. Educators all attend weekly training sessions and lessons are being brought into these training sessions in order to integrate them into the curriculum software made available on the network.
Khanya is focussing at supporting this school community with technology to address the outcomes of our revised curriculum even better. A continuous revisit of our teaching methodology in schools with ICT is managed by very able facilitators. These individuals offer regular cluster workshops to sharpen and share good practices.
The Principal of the school, Mrs Tinzi, is very supportive of the Khanya laboratory and is instrumental in encouraging and leading the educators through the process of ensuring that it is used for learning purposes. Andile Primary can now focus on the next few terms and ensure that the learners begin reaping the rewards of having such a wonderful 21st Century learning environment.
