Wellington Primary

Educators at Wellington Primary identified Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as a route to the enhancement of learning and teaching at their school.

Late in 2003 the entire school community keenly waited for their inclusion in the Khanya Project. For them this means 26 computers, a server, and educational software that supports the curriculum. Any anxiety about technology was allayed by the knowledge that a Khanya Curriculum Facilitator would assist them to master the technology, educational programs and the integration and planning of lessons in the computer laboratory. A sense of joy and enthusiasm for learning pervades the school.

Already Wellington Primary is set for project sustainability. They have formed partnerships with local businesses to ensure the maintenance and improvement of their computer laboratory.
